Lysol BP

Lysol BP is a traditional phenolic disinfectant which is particularly suitable for heavy disinfection in hospitals, mortuaries and veterinary centres and meets the EN1276 standard for bactericidal assay.

It should not be confused, however, with Lysol - a trade name for a range of bland sanitizers containing quats or even alcohol as the active ingredient. 

Lysol BP is formulated with cresols and a liquid soap according to the current British Pharmacoepia.  This continues to disinfect much longer than alcohol-based lysols.
